Welcome to Herrold Stables, LLC! At “The Peaceful Ride”, successfully serving equine needs for over 40 years. After show jumping in the late 1980’s under the guidance of Barbara Murry, of Valley West Equestrian Facility, Elaine went on to train several of her own horses. Dan & Elaine Herrold have owned and operated Herrold Stables, LLC for over 20 years. They have been providing to the needs of both horse and rider with boarding, training, and instruction in Hillsboro, Oregon. They have also enjoyed the hard work of gentling several wild mustangs for over 40 years. You can now see the fruits of their labor in the kind, loving horses they use as part of the schooling program of Herrold Stables, LLC.

Full Care Boarding: Horses fed high quality, home grown grass hay. The adult hobby rider will enjoy the fun, non-drama atmosphere. All disciplines welcome. Stalls are 12 x 12 with 42′ run attached. 2 round 60′ pens, 120 x 60 indoor arena, 200 x 100 outdoor with ridable footing year a round. Horses also have access to pasture to feed and frolic in. Trail around the property and large green pasture obstacle course available year a round.
Horse riding Instruction: Each schoolmaster horse and pony is hand-picked for safety and teaching ability. As owners of several exceptional equines they are able to match rider based on their size and ability. Their horses range in size from our 10 hand pony to 17.1 hand finished pleasure horse. We offer Adult and Youth lessons for all skill levels, and a variety of Equestrian disciplines. Safety for both equine and human is established in the beginning of any new relationship. Lessons offered Wednesday, Friday, Saturday by appointment. For utmost learning ability three times a week is suggested. Lessons open for ages 2 and up.
Equine/Owner Instruction: An established rider may choose to use their equine for equitation instruction at Herrold Stables. We can offer hands on training and re-training for you and your equine at the same time.
Come find your END of the RAINBOW place to ride either your own horse, or a Herrold Stables, LLC seasoned lesson horse. They are an approved outfitter for Girl Scouts of Oregon and SW Washington. Herrold Stables, LLC is also Hillsboro Park & Recreation approved to provide Spring/Summer Camps. They offer Horse Birthday Parties, Office Team Building Time, Lessons, and much more.
