Horse Day at the Farm for ages 3-12 years.
Student will enjoy riding different horses or ponies while on lead line at both walk and trot as abilities allow. They will also have fun learning about and petting chickens, ducks, and rabbits. Student will also enjoy grooming and decorating ponies. We will be running relay races, and other horse games. Student will have fun learning about grooming, tack equipment, and riding horses. Students will experience Western Equitation, showmanship, and horseback riding games. Student must have ability to balance while sitting on back of horse. Younger child may require parent to walk next to horse while on back of horse. Student will walk, trot (as ability allows), halt, turn, and back their horse. All students will be taught horsemanship and safety while on ground and mounted. Professional instruction provided and safe experienced schooling horses used. Please wear layered clothing, gloves, and boots with heel for riding. Student may bring their own helmet or use ours. Student must have closed toed shoe. No flipflop or sandals allowed. Parents of young riders (3-5 years old) may be required to stay. Students will be grouped by age and ability day of event.
